Description
Fragrant bright yellow spikes from November through to March - a winter sunshine plant. The flowers are followed by ornamental deep purple berries. With its rosettes of dark green glossy foliage, this is a classic architectural plant provides an all year round focal point to shady areas. It also provides a real micro environment for birds: Tits, particularly Blue Tits flock to the flower nectar and the branched structure provides winter shelter and protection from predators for garden birds. ‘Winter Sun’ is an improved form to ‘Charity’ with has a bushier more compact habit than ‘Charity’ and prefers shade but will tolerate sun with moist soil
